Monkey Bread

Monkey Bread is one of our  family favorites! I only make this delicious treat  on special occasions i.e. a birthday or holiday.  We have food allergies in the family so my  recipes have to be both  Dairy & Nut Free ... this one is a keeper!
Ingredients:  3 cans of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls or Rounds
                    1/2 Cup = 1 stick of  Fleischmann's Unsalted (margarine)
                    1/3 Cup Sugar
                    1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
                    1 Tbsp. Cinnamon

Step 1 - Spray a  fluted bunt pan with a non-stick cooking spray (we use olive oil)
Step 2 - Melt the  margarine
Step 3 - Mix together Sugar, Brown Sugar & Cinnamon
Step 4 - Sprinkle a little of the sugar mix inside the bunt pan

Step 5 - Open one can of crescent rolls and cut into 8 pieces --- then cut each piece into 4 pieces.
Step 6 -  Roll each crescent  piece into a ball and roll in the sugar mixture
Step 7 -  Layer the sugar coated crescent pieces in the bunt pan.  Once one can of the crescent rolls  is finished ... pour 1/3 of the melted margarine on top of the layered pieces  and sprinkle more of the sugar mixture on top.  Repeat this step with the remaining 2 cans of Crescent Rolls.
Step 8 - Bake at 400 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
Step 9 - Plate, Serve and Enjoy!

Cooking with Lai Kim

Mrs. W was visiting family here in the states a few weeks ago from Singapore. She graciously took an afternoon to teach a few of us ladies how to cook some authentic Chinese food. Not only did I have a fantastic afternoon with friends but I learned a thing or two in the kitchen. The best part was enjoying all the fantastic food once prepared.
