Hello and Good-Bye

Hello 2013 --- may the up coming year bring you all great joy and success.
The time has come to end my blogging career --- I've run out of space and though I could certainly purchase more -  I've realized that I'm not a skilled Blogger nor do I really enjoy it.
What I do enjoy and love is my photography and of course that will not end.  You will still be able to find me on Facebook at Carey Sims Photography or at my website www.careysimsphotography.zenfolio.com
Many thanks to all my viewers over the years - I truly appreciate your support and encouragement.     Carey

The "S" Family ....

What a great family -  In June I  had the pleasure of photographing their  beautiful  wedding  and then we did this family session in November.   It truly is an honor watching families grow and change ... I love my job!

Project 2012 - Week 52

Day 358 - Simply love all the beautiful holiday cards we received from our family and friends.

Day 359 - Christmas Eve and this was my kitchen sink. My father-in-law decided to replace it ... the job took longer then expected but the it was done in time to complete the holiday meal.

Day 360 - Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Day 361 - The last stop before my in-laws headed home - Chapin Beach in Dennis, MA ... it was a bite on the cold side.

Day 362 - Inside the belly of the whale. Our guide pointing out a whales lungs. Interesting to say the least.

Day 363 - One of my oldest daughter's Christmas gifts - a book light - my little book worm loves it!

Day 364 - On one of the coldest days of the year - this little purple flower caught my eye.

Day 365 - Frozen drops of water on this table after a night full of rain and snow.

Day 366 - Good-bye 2012! It's official ... I'm done with my Project 2012.

Project 2012 - Week 51

Day 351 - My tears haven't stopped - my family & friends in Newtown are in my thoughts and prayers.

Day 352 - A special treat for my Girl Scouts after caroling at the Community Center.

Day 353 -  A family favorite - taco pie!

Day 354 - As the days grow colder --- my heart is still deeply sadden by the events in Newtown, Ct on December 14th.

Day 355- Watching & enjoying my daughter's band concert tonight .... super proud of my girl.

Day 356 - Thank you gifts from my Girl Scout Troops to those who help make our troops a success.

Day 357 -  My girls and I worked hard on these ornaments --- we made 30 of them (which involved 60 pieces of paper in each ornament) this holiday season.

Project 2012 - Week 50

Day 344 - This is room 214 at Chatham Wayside Inn. I had a blasted giving tours of the Inn as part of the Historical Inn Tour today in Chatham.

Day 345 - After a busy weekend and a long work day I was too tired to pull out my tripod for a decent photo of our holiday lights so as you can tell this is just hand held shot.

Day 346 - The house is all ready for Santa!

Day 347 - We've been busy working on some origami holiday projects ... thankfully I've got 3 little girls who are great helpers.

Dy 348 - I've had this candle for years and I decided that it's finally time to burn it.

Day 349 - It was cookie decorating with my Girl Scout Troop this afternoon. Before I could snap the picture the head was biting off of this one ...

Day 350 - Newtown, CT is my husbands hometown --- my 7 year old nephew attends school there and my mother-in-law is the director of the Children's Adventure Center next door to Sandy Hook Elementary. My family is safe --- please, please pray for the families not as fortunate as mine!
