I attended our local high school play of 'Annie' and let me tell you what ... the students did a fantastic job! The set was amazing as well as the as all the costumes. I love the theatre and hoping that in the future at least one of daughters will get the acting bug ... 
It's true that we have a few Disney lovers in our house (myself included). We treated the girls to Disney on Ice - Princess Wishes a few weeks back and everyone loved the show! We didn't have the nose bleed seats but we still far from the stage ... one of these days I'm going to get that zoom lens that I've got my eye on ... 
My husband turned the big 4-0 last month ... it's still hard to believe. He thought our trip to Connecticut was only to celebrate our nephew's birthday but my mother-in-law put together a surprise party for him as well. It was a great evening with family & friends that was complete with delicious food and drink. A few days later the girls and I celebrated his actual birthday quietly at home. 
I am happy to announce that all of these Girl Scout Cookies have found homes (or should I say tummies). If you care to count - pictured is over 1400 boxes ...
You should know by now that I love to photograph everything! In addition to my professional photo sessions ... I also adore just capturing life - my life and those that I love. When visiting Connecticut one of the coolest places to photograph is my in-laws beautiful old farm house! The house is warm and inviting and decorated with unique and beautiful objects. To capture it all will take me days or even weeks ... so I decided to take just a few minutes each visit (8 minutes this time around) to see what I could capture ... 
It's amazing to live in an area that is so rich in history. Montgomery County Recreation Department has so much to offer with much of it being free. A few weeks ago we visited Water House Special Park in Germantown, MD. I'm looking forward to touring the main house and exploring the grounds further once all the snow is completely gone. 
It's truly a gift to be a stay at home mom ... being involved in my children's school and education is so important to me! Yesterday, I had a great time going back and forth between my children's classrooms -- I loved watching everyone as they celebrated Valentine's Day.

When a surprise party is to honor 50 Years of Marriage - how can the afternoon not be fantastic. Family and friends - near and far - traveled to the Officer's Club at Fort Myers, Virginia to surprised this beautiful couple. I had a great time and by the end of the afternoon I felt like part of the family ...
It was a fantastic Labor Day Weekend in Ocean City, Maryland (thankfully Hurricane Earl missed our eastern shore line).
