Preschool

At the end of March I spent two days at my daughter's preschool photographing all the students.  I also photographed several groups of siblings as well as all the class group shots.  It was a lot of work ... my biggest job to date but it was well worth it!

Project 2012 - Week 18

Day 120 - It was a great day for a parade ... my Girl Scout Troop along with several of our sister troops marched together in the Brewster in Bloom Parade (the parade theme was red, white and blue).
 Day 121 - A back yard beauty.
Day 122 - I took this in between the days rain showers.
Day 123  -  I was over at a friends house this morning .... I just love her bird feeded that is attached to the front window. Every time that I've been there birds have been feeding.
Day 124 - I didn't have a lot of time for photos today - I took this on my car dash board as I was leaving one job and heading over to another.
Day 125 - It was another rainy day on the Cape
Day 126 - In 2000 my husbands beloved Mater (grandmother) passed away - she was 90 years old, blind, strong willed and completely amazing. One woman enable Mater to live in the home that she loved on her own. That woman was - Faith - part time care taker - full time friend.
I had only meet Faith one time in 2000 ... that was until today. Faith (aka Juliette Gordan Low in honor of our Girl Scout Encampment) was able to meet 2 of Mater's great grand-daughters (my daughters).
*It's been a crazy year for my family -- we moved from Maryland to Massachettes in September and as fate would have it we're livng in Mater's house on the pond. We've meet some wonderful folks on Cape Cod but until today it didn't feel like home.
What makes this even more special... Mater was a Girl Scout (she joined in 1920) and she later became a leader/volunteer like Faith, myself and hopefully (in the future) like my daugthers.

Project 2012 - Week 17

Day 113 - Pier 77 in Kennebunkport, ME
Day 114 - Sweet little feet only two weeks old
Day 115 - This spot is pretty run down and in need of alot of TLC. At least they have pride in their country.

Day 116 - Any one know the name of this plant? I'm a purple person and I love this color ... this morning this caught my attention.

Day 117 - Mr. Muskrat was down at the pond this morning - he left behind a graveyard of fresh water muscles shells that he had enjoyed!
Day 118 - I had my first photograpy class today with some great 5th graders ... this tulip was photographed by many of my students.
Day 119 - The Herring were suppose to be running (I had hoped that today's photo would be a jumping fish but we only saw one taking a break) but we did get to see the grist mill operating which was pretty cool.

Day 108 - Our first dandelion of the season ...
Day 109 - It's been a long day (good but very long). Here's a photo idea that I picked up from a fellow 365er.
Day 110 - Dandelion seeds on my car dashboard ... I really need to dust!
Day 111 -  I finally got a descent photo of Mr. Muskrat (I see him and his family all the time in the pond) - he was busy eating fresh water muscles.

Project 2012 - Week 15

Day 99 -My one and only shot ... it's not as sharp as I would have liked. I tried for another shot but after waiting close to 45 minutes the waves never reached my eggs again.
Day 100 -  One of the best things about holiday meals ... the left overs!
Day 101 - The kids got eggs (from the EB) that you soak in water and the chicks inside grow and hatch.
Day 102 - Our St. Patty's Day clovers have sprouted.
Day 103 - Still looking beautiful even though they are starting to fade.
 Day 104 - Forsythia
Day 105 - It was a beautiful day for a bike ride with the family.

Monkey Bread

Monkey Bread is one of our  family favorites! I only make this delicious treat  on special occasions i.e. a birthday or holiday.  We have food allergies in the family so my  recipes have to be both  Dairy & Nut Free ... this one is a keeper!
Ingredients:  3 cans of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls or Rounds
                    1/2 Cup = 1 stick of  Fleischmann's Unsalted (margarine)
                    1/3 Cup Sugar
                    1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
                    1 Tbsp. Cinnamon

Step 1 - Spray a  fluted bunt pan with a non-stick cooking spray (we use olive oil)
Step 2 - Melt the  margarine
Step 3 - Mix together Sugar, Brown Sugar & Cinnamon
Step 4 - Sprinkle a little of the sugar mix inside the bunt pan

Step 5 - Open one can of crescent rolls and cut into 8 pieces --- then cut each piece into 4 pieces.
Step 6 -  Roll each crescent  piece into a ball and roll in the sugar mixture
Step 7 -  Layer the sugar coated crescent pieces in the bunt pan.  Once one can of the crescent rolls  is finished ... pour 1/3 of the melted margarine on top of the layered pieces  and sprinkle more of the sugar mixture on top.  Repeat this step with the remaining 2 cans of Crescent Rolls.
Step 8 - Bake at 400 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
Step 9 - Plate, Serve and Enjoy!

Project 2012 - Week 14

Day 92 - My mother-in-law is an amazing artist. Only a select few are honored with a portrait ... today was my middle daughter's turn.
Day 93 - I love all the gifts of Spring!
Day 94 -  I got my idea from another photographer  - she got the idea from Pinterest. I want to get my hands on a crystal ball but until I find one this idea works for the reverse reflection.
Day 95 - I went on job interview yesterday and was hired on the spot. I took this photo of my new office building as I finished my first day of work.
 Day 96 - My neighbors azalea's are blooming :)
Day 97 - Last year there was 200 reports of sexual abuse against children here on the Cape & Islands. Several local businesses are currently displaying plots of 200 blue & silver pinwheels to raise awareness on this horrible crime against our children. 200 is a small number compared to the rest of the world but even 1 case of sexual abuse on a child is unacceptable!
Day 98 - I'm hoping that the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny get along .... both will be visiting our home this evening.
